Aquaristic Water Conditioners and Minerals

Minerals and trace elements are vital for shrimp, crayfish, snails and fish, as well as for a functioning biosystem in a tank. A lack or an imbalance may lead to severe problems, manifest in poor plant growth, algae growth, odd behaviour of the tank inhabitants or even losses.

SaltyShrimp mineral salt water conditioners prevent this. These salts have been designed and manufactured especially for the use in a freshwater tank. They improve the water condition and provide your tank inhabitants with all the essential minerals and trace elements via the water, for their health and wellbeing. Moreover, SaltyShrimp mineral products support the activities of the all-important filter bacteria and improve plant growth - for a stable, healthy biosystem in your tank.

RE-Mineral KH+ - Mineral salt mixture

RE-Mineral KH+ raises the carbonate hardness (KH) and stabilises the pH. Carbonate hardness is a crucial factor for the pH buffer system in the aquarium and prevents the pH from fluctuating too strongly. Various fish and shrimp species need a certain carbonate hardness level, and KH concentrations always ought to be adapted to their special requirements. In an aquarium, carbonate hardness is constantly reduced by chemical and biological processes like e.g. biogenous decalcification and nitrification (the oxidation of ammonium and ammonia). For this reason, the KH ought to be constantly monitored and should be increased, if necessary. Using RE-Mineral KH+ you can renew the pH buffer capacity or increase it to prevent pH crashes. The pH is raised and stabilised according to the amount used. Hint: we do not recommend raising the carbonate hardness to more than KH 5.

Instructions of use
Mix with water outside of the aquarium. RE-Mineral KH+ dissolves almost completely within seconds, and the water is ready for use at once. Close container after every use at once as this mineral salt absorbs moisture.

Dosage
For raising the carbonate hardness by 1 °KH you need approx. 3.3 g RE-Mineral KH+ (or evenly full measuring spoon) per 100 litres of water.
Measuring spoon enclosed.

Available packaging sizes (screw socket)

100 g  (sufficient for approx.  3000 hardness litres KH)
300 g  (sufficient for approx.  9000 hardness litres KH)
1250 g  (sufficient for approx.  37800 hardness litres KH)
